Tennessy Elledge (they/them) is a queer artist and creator based in the North Bay, CA.

Currently a ceramic artist and teacher specializing in large handbuilt sculpture and mystically adorned tableware. Using imagery and symbology from myth, fantasy, and folklore, Tennessy’s work is aesthetically both whimsical and gothic.

Tennessy’s teaching method is hands-on and flexible for different learning styles. They believe that working with clay is a unique opportunity for students and artists to confront perfectionistic tendencies, challenge the urge to tie worth to outcome, and practice failure in a safe environment. As a perfectionist themself, they welcome these challenges and seek to grow through the experience alongside their students.

In their multidisciplinary art practice, Tennessy creates works in floral design, film making, and analog photography (among countless other crafting hobbies). Outside the studio you might find Tennessy with their nose in a book, at the movie theater, or playing games with their friends.
