Body of Work

Tennessy Elledge (they/them, she/her) is a queer artist and bodyworker based in Sonoma County, CA. Previously creating image-based self portraiture with traditional photographic techniques, in 2020 Tennessy has shifted their focus to ceramics. Inspired by the natural world, mythology, folk tales, mysticism, and tarot, Tennessy creates functional and decorative pieces that embody the mysterious energy of nature. Across mediums Tennessy is influenced by classical marble sculptures, pictorialism, art nouveau, and the arts and crafts movement. Their practice both draws from and is a vehicle for ritual and self healing.
