I am not a healer. The body is self-healing — through my education, intuition, and grounding I am simply a guide.

As someone who has lived with debilitating chronic pain for over 5 years, I am intimately familiar with the challenges chronic pain/illness present, as well as the shortcomings of the medical system. This experience informs my approach to the bodywork as well as my perspective on what it means to “heal” or be “healthy”.

The safety and comfort of my clients are of great importance to me. I strive to create a safe environment and relationship through open communication and informed consent. I consider myself anti-diet and body-positive/neutral — for my practice, this means I do not imply, advise, or encourage clients to loose weight or use thinness as a goal/ideal.

Bodywork is both humbling and deeply fulfilling for me. I am committed to continuing to learn and grow my practice to better serve my clients as well as myself.

Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have.

Tennessy Elledge CMT (They/Them, She/Her) is a queer bodyworker and artist based in the North Bay.

Hello!

My name is Tennessy, I am a non-binary and queer bodyworker. I graduated from the National Holistic Institute in January 2022, with 800 hours of training in both Eastern and Western bodywork traditions.

My mission as a practitioner is to provide gender affirming, body-positive, and holistic bodywork to the community.

My approach to this work begins with recognizing the body, and the individual, as a unique and interconnected whole. Relief and healing are often catalyzed by restoring balance — a process and a goal that looks different for each client. In essence: no single issue causes imbalance or misalignment in the body and there is no single picture of balance. I integrate techniques and modalities to address soft tissue dysfunction, release stress and chronic holding, and promote healing.
